“For Dissemination” is a creative project intended to provoke thoughts and discussions about the discrepancy between what people believe about law enforcement and the reality of modern policing in America. We seek to highlight and challenge the concept of inherent goodness that police have been endowed with in America. In cases where specific data is cited, we made a good-faith effort to be as accurate as possible with the data available.
We invite you to consider how more accurate representations of law enforcement may clash with or challenge people’s existing beliefs and assumptions.
The intention of this project is NOT for people to print these materials out and distribute them in their communities however they see fit. The authors of this project do not endorse any specific action, but instead invite you to consider what the results of such actions could be.
